Mid-week Groups
We place a high value on our midweek house groups – Focus Groups - that meet across the city.
The vision for our church is to Grow Bigger People and for Everyone in Ministry. Focus Groups are designed to train, equip and release us into ministry. The groups are arranged into ‘themes’ for terms of up to 6 months that give everyone the opportunity to explore a particular focus and develop their gifting.
Groups currently running are:
Engage Group – Young adults and students meet together to encourage each other in their faith, as well as reaching out to young adults in our city.
Helps group – This group has a practical focus on serving the church.
Prayer group – Meets together to intercede for individual needs, our city and further afield!
Leadership training group – Led by the pastor, the group is designed to equip those who have or want to have a role in leadership.
Alpha group – The Rock has several Alpha courses running throughout the year and the team meets regularly to seek God’s direction and plan the courses.
Hospitality group – to provide opportunity to serve through hospitality in the church
Songwriting group – to encourage budding songwriters to put into practice the gifts God has given them!
Hearing from God Group – to explore the spiritual giftings that God has put on your life.
Friendship and Fellowship Group – for those who are relatively new in church this is a great way to get connected!
If you’d like to find out more about joining a group, send us an email and we’ll be in touch! Most of our groups run on a Monday or a Tuesday, although we’ll be having a break over the summer period!
